Vintage overdyed carpets are a very popular form of oriental carpet, which, with its strong colours and worn shine, becomes a natural central point in the home decor. After the carpet has been looked after, cleaned, repaired and strengthened, the cotton hairs are shortened down to bring out the white shimmer, the aged appearance of the carpet. The carpets are dyed and then washed in batches to obtain the best result. Only nature-friendly plant dyes, compatible with the textiles, are used. The carpets are made in strong colours, as well as subdued versions. Under the beautiful colours, the classic Turkish patterns emerge, but the flower pattern for which the Isparta carpets are famous is also common.
